Enabling Your Microphone in Windows 10

As Windows 10 user, you may need to check and enable your microphone in order to use it for online meetings, voice recordings, and other purposes. In this article, we'll show you how to check and enable your microphone.

There are a few different ways to access the microphone levels controls.

1. Through the Sound settings:

Click the Start button and type "sound settings" in the search bar
   Click on the "Sound" settings that appear
   Select the "Input" tab
   Select your microphone from the list of devices
   Adjust the microphone level using the slider or mute the microphone.

2. Through the Device Manager:

Press the Windows key + X and select Device Manager
   Expand the Audio inputs and outputs section
   Locate your microphone, right-click on it and select Properties
   Click on the Level tab and adjust the microphone level using the slider or mute the microphone.

3. Through the Control Panel:

Click the Start button and type "control panel" in the search bar
   Click on the "Control Panel" that appears
   Click on "Hardware and Sound"
   Click on "Sound"
   Click on the "Recording" tab
   Select your microphone from the list of devices
   Click on the "Properties" button
   Click on the "Levels" tab and adjust the microphone level using the slider or mute the microphone.

4. Through the Settings app:

Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app
   Click on "System"
   Click on "Sound"
   Click on "Device properties"
   Select your microphone from the list of devices
   Adjust the microphone level using the slider or mute the microphone.

Note: If you don't see the microphone level controls in any of these locations, you may need to check that your microphone is properly connected and that it is selected as the default input device in the Sound settings.

If you are still having trouble, you might want to check the physical connections of the microphone, if it's connected correctly, and checking that the microphone is not muted by an external hardware.
